The series follows Bundle (Mia McKenna-Bruce), whose friend Gerry Wade (Corey Mylchreest) appears to have overdosed on sleeping medication

However, not everything is as it seems in this mystery

In Agatha Christie's Seven Dials, a twist is around every corner.

The latest Agatha Christie story, which debuted on Netflix on Jan. 15 and is adapted from her 1929 novel The Seven Dials Mystery, tells the story of young sleuth Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent (Mia McKenna-Bruce) — and a party gone wrong.

The three-part miniseries begins with a lavish affair at the Chimneys estate, owned by the widow Lady Caterham (Helena Bonham Carter) and her daughter Bundle. The next morning, a young man who attended the party, Gerry Wade (Corey Mylchreest), is found dead in his bed, having presumably overdosed on the sleeping medicine found beside him. But his closest friends, including Bundle, suspect something is wrong, since Wade was never known to take medications like that.

From there, the group begins investigating where, exactly, the sleeping medicine came from and who could have provided it to him. From the house staff to guests at the party, Bundle interrogates everyone — until she discovers a strange note left at the crime scene. Written by Wade, it appears to be addressed to his sister, Lorraine (Ella Rae-Smith), mentioning something about “seven dials.”

"At every turn, there’s ... a closed door,” McKenna-Bruce told TVInsider in January 2026 about her character’s desire to pursue the mystery in the series. “People are constantly telling her no or trying to stop her or telling her it’s dangerous. And for Bundle, that almost just spurs her on even more.”

So, who killed Wade — and why? Here's everything to know about the ending of Netflix's latest mystery, Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials.

After finding the note, Bundle eventually deduces that “Seven Dials” is referring to the West End neighborhood in London. There, she discovers a rowdy jazz club owned by one of the men who attended the party at Chimneys. While pretending to dance, Bundle notices a man go through a back door and follows him, which leads her up to a secluded room used by a secret society known as The Seven Dials.

By listening to them, she discovers that a major gathering is happening soon between England and a Cameroonian scientist, Dr. Cyril Matip (Nyasha Hatendi). He’s invented a super-strong, ultra-thin metal that’s so sturdy it can reflect bullets. England is trying to court the scientist into giving them the formula so they can use it to protect the country in future wars.

Believing the members of the secret society are the perpetrators of Wade’s murder, Bundle finds a way to get herself invited to the rural estate where the meeting is taking place. To help her during the investigation, she invites her friends Jimmy (Edward Bluemel) and Bill (Hughie O’Donnell) along.

After arriving, the group discovers that a superintendent from Scotland Yard named Battle (Martin Freeman) is also attending the event. Battle isn’t just investigating Wade’s murder, but he’s also looking into how it could have a connection to a broader scheme.

During the first night at the estate, Bundle enlists Jimmy and Bill to stand guard in front of Dr. Matip's door, because she believes Wade’s killer is likely the same person who wants the metal’s formula.

Meanwhile, Battle is investigating the grounds outside, hoping to catch anyone trying to come in or out of the estate. Mysteriously, Lorraine also shows up at the estate, claiming that she’s there to find out what happened to her brother.

That night, Bundle wakes up to a commotion downstairs. She hears a gunshot, which awakens the other guests, and they all run downstairs to see that Jimmy has been shot in the arm next to an open window. He claims a large man shot him and escaped.

The next morning, Battle calls everyone into the study to walk through the events of the previous evening. But before he begins, Lorraine claims she’s missing an earring and needs to run upstairs to find it. Lorraine never returns, and when the group goes upstairs to check on her, they discover that she’s gone. Even worse, the safe in Dr. Matip's room has been opened and the formula is missing.

Bundle grabs Jimmy and Bill, and they chase Lorraine back towards the city in their car.

The group follows Lorraine to a train station, where she boards a train. Just before it departs the station, they hop on and the chase continues. They finally find her in the back of the train in a cargo car — but just when they think they’re about to get justice, a shocking twist changes everything.

Jimmy pulls out a gun and reveals that he’s actually Lorraine’s accomplice. The two are going to make a lot of money by handing over the formula to a mysterious buyer.

Bundle also learns that it’s Lorraine who killed Gerry — her own brother. Gerry’s letter that Bundle found wasn’t a warning to Lorraine, it was actually him letting her know that he had caught on to her plan to betray England. Enraged, she killed him and made it look like an overdose. Bundle also deduces that Jimmy shot his own arm at the estate to draw attention away from him and Lorraine as suspects.

Before she can piece anything else together, Jimmy shoots Bill, giving Lorraine time to escape. He and Bundle have a tense standoff where he pleads with her, adding that he can give her a cut of the profits.

Knowing that Bill secretly brought a gun in his pocket, Bundle bides her time with Jimmy, keeping him talking until she angles herself in position. She throws a box at Jimmy, giving her enough time to bend down and grab Bill’s gun. Jimmy flees and Bundle chases him through the train.

They finally meet again in a passenger car and have another standoff. Jimmy tells her he isn’t giving the formula to a foreign government, he was simply told to meet the buyer in the first roomette on the train.

Curiously, Jimmy doesn’t shoot Bundle, instead telling her, “I wouldn’t advise going up front, Bundle, I really wouldn’t.”

Bundle makes her way to the first car and opens the door to the roomette, where she sees her mother, Lady Caterham, sitting there.

Caterham reveals that since both Bundle’s dad and brother were killed during World War I, the family was left with nothing except their crumbling country estate. She's also lost her faith in England, believing that her husband and son weren't part of an honorable war, but were instead used as cannon fodder.

Desperate for money and seeking revenge, her mother planned to sell the formula and get rich. Before their conversation can continue, Superintendent Battle arrives and Caterham is taken into custody.

After Bundle arrives back home to Chimneys, a man approaches her at gunpoint and tells her to get in a car. She’s driven back to the Seven Dials district and is taken up to the room above the club where the secret society meets.

As she walks in, the members are all sitting around a table, wearing masks to hide their identities. She nervously walks in and takes a seat. To her surprise, one of the members takes off their mask, revealing himself to be Battle.

He tells her that the secret society isn’t a bad one, and instead is a collection of agents working to stop global terror attempts. Battle also tells her that her father was a member until his death and that he died while on a top-secret mission.

Battle says that he’s impressed by Bundle's investigative skills and her desire for the truth. He then passes her a mask and asks her to join, saying he has a mission for her. In the final scene, Bundle picks up the mask, smiles and says, “Tell me everything.”

Christie’s novel was a standalone story, but is also a loose sequel to her previous novel, The Secrets of Chimneys, which first introduced Bundle. However, Christie never wrote a follow-up to The Seven Dials Mystery.

So far, Netflix hasn't revealed if there will be a season 2 of Agatha Christie's Seven Dials. However, the series was billed as just a three-part series, per Netflix's Tudum.
