Former Michigan State star Draymond Green has made a move that could shift the NBA landscape for the upcoming season.

NBA insider Shams Charania reported on Monday morning that Green has elected to decline his $27.7 million player option from the Golden State Warriors to become a free agent. However, it doesn't appear that move was made with intentions of leaving Golden State, but rather to free up cap space for the Warriors to make a move at adding LeBron James and/or Anthony Davis. This is at least the thinking from Charania who stated this move will give the Warriors the flexibility to "form a Big 4" with James, Green, Davis and Steph Curry.

Green is entering his 15th season in the NBA, with the previous 14 all coming with the Warriors. He was selected by Golden State in the 2012 NBA Draft with the No. 35 overall pick. He has had a long and successful career with the Warriors that includes multiple NBA championships, with the potential now to win another should the Warriors make a move for James and/or Davis.

We will keep a close eye on the developments from here to see if Green ends up staying with the Warriors or if he does elect to go elsewhere to wrap up his career.
