Hamm expressed his excitement about the opportunity, telling NBC Bay Area, “Week after week, the NFL delivers performances that remind you why this game means so much to so many people. I’m honored to host an evening that celebrates the players, their immense talents, and the unforgettable moments that defined this season.”
15th Annual NFL Honors
This year’s ceremony introduces the Protector of the Year Award, a new honor recognizing the league’s top offensive lineman. The award shines a light on the unsung heroes of football, who play critical roles in team success but often remain out of the spotlight. The NFL says this award will be a permanent addition to the annual honors.
The 2026 NFL Honors will be broadcast in primetime on NBC and the NFL Network. Viewers can also stream the event via Peacock and NFL+, making it accessible to fans nationwide.
While the front-runners for major awards are emerging, categories like Offensive Rookie of the Year, Defensive Rookie of the Year and Coach of the Year remain competitive. Standout players this season include Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett and Carolina Panthers rookie wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan.
