Prince William was a proud yet protective father as Princess Charlotte interacted with the crowd on Christmas.
The British royals, including Prince William and Kate Middleton with their three children, continued their holiday tradition of attending the morning service at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene on the Sandringham Estate on Dec. 25 and greeted well-wishers gathered outside afterward. Fans were excited to see Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, who collected small gifts like stuffed animals and edible treats as they shook hands and exchanged Christmas wishes with the members of the public.
In a moment captured on video and shared on social media, a group asked Princess Charlotte to take a photo with them. As they handed a camera over to a security officer, Prince William checked in on his daughter.
"Charlotte, are you okay?" he asked, to which she replied, "Yeah."
The young royal then smiled for the picture as her dad watched on from a few feet away with a beaming smile.

The royals can keep such gifts, as long as they meet certain criteria. Flowers and edible treats are acceptable, as are copies of books presented by an author, provided the subject matter is not controversial. Other items of smaller monetary value may also be kept by royals, specifically those that cost less than 150 pounds (which converts to $200 as of mid-December 2025).
