Prince William made a surprise appearance on The Graham Norton Show and its famous red sofa.

The Prince of Wales taped the episode on October 22, and it will air on October 23.

In his interview, the future king shared that his younger two children Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are “obsessed with” the show Celebrity Traitors.

Prince William had his turn on The Graham Norton Show and its iconic red couch—and spilled about what his younger two children Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are “obsessed” with lately.

The Prince of Wales revealed that Charlotte, 11, and Louis, 8, are into Celebrity Traitors, telling Norton (per Variety), “I love it, the family love it. Charlotte and Louis are obsessed with it. It’s really good telly.”

He added, “I saw [Celebrity Traitors’ contestant] Ross Kemp the day after the first episode and I couldn’t help but try—in the most appropriate way—to touch him to see what reaction I got from him. Turns out he was really jumpy!”

The future king taped the episode on October 22, along with Cate Blanchett, Robert Irwin, and Hannah Waddingham, all of whom are supporters of William’s Earthshot Prize. Earthshot will host its sixth annual awards ceremony in Mumbai, India, in November.

William’s episode of The Graham Norton Show will air on October 23, and in it he shared a glimpse into life at home at Forest Lodge, the eight-bedroom Georgian mansion that he shares with wife Kate Middleton and their children. The Wales family of five moved into the property last year, and it has been billed as their “forever home.”

In addition to watching Celebrity Traitors, William told the host he winds down with “music and film,” adding that he’s a “big fan” of director Christopher Nolan.

“I love getting immersed in deep-thinking films,” the prince said. “I like action films too, but I like something a bit different. I’m a big fan of everything Christopher Nolan does. His films are fantastic.”

“The Dark Knight series is psychologically dark and deep and I absolutely love that,” he continued. “He takes concepts that are completely out there and makes them incredibly entertaining.”

William’s episode also featured a performance by singer Jorja Smith and, while rare, William isn’t the first royal to appear on a British talk show—though he is the first to appear on The Graham Norton Show specifically. According to The Sun, Princess Anne appeared on The Wogan Show in 1985, followed by her father Prince Philip one year later in 1986.

The Wales family of five is set to spend some quality time together, as Prince George, 13, will likely be coming home from school at Eton College for half-term break, which begins on October 23. Charlotte and Louis are also on break from school until next month, and while at an engagement on October 22, the Princess of Wales told a member of the public named Denise Ashton that she was “looking forward to George coming home—she’s missed him” (per Hello!).

“They may be going somewhere [during the break],” Ashton added.

After a child told the future queen that Thursday was his last day of school before his own half-term break, she replied, “My children break up tomorrow, and I can’t wait to have them all home.”
