William Roberts III, the son of rapper Rick Ross, was assaulted in Florida on Sunday night.
On October 11, William, 21, was reportedly outside speaking to a woman when a car pulled up next to the pair. A man, whom William later identified as Don Roberts, exited the car and allegedly pointed a handgun at him. Don Roberts then shouted, “I don’t care who your daddy is, I’ll kill you right here,” before pistol-whipping William. The Daytona Police Department detained Don Roberts, 20, charging him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated battery.
This comes after a Miami judge humiliated Rick Ross when she did not recognize him after his assault arrest.

Rick Ross himself is also in legal trouble. The 50-year-old rapper faces charges of one third-degree felony count of battery by strangulation and one first-degree misdemeanor count of battery by intentionally touching, striking, or causing bodily harm to another person against their will.
Just days before he was detained, the rapper’s ex-girlfriend, Jazzma Kendrick, had publicly alleged that he had previously physically assaulted her. She shared photos to Instagram displaying a lip injury, which she attributed to Ross “bust[ing] her lip.”

"I don't know a lot of things, but I do know that a man that puts his hands on me, is a man that never loved me and never will," posted Kendrick.
“It's always good until it isn't. If a man hits you one time, he will do it again. Don't give him the opportunity. Value your life and leave," she wrote.
Per an affidavit, Ross struck Kendrick after he accused her of lying to him about an Instagram post. He allegedly "slap[ped] her in the face." He continued to strike her as she denied having romantic involvement with a friend.
He also reportedly choked her "to the point that she could not breathe." Ross then allegedly “proceeded to grab the victim by her ponytail," slamming her "against a wall" before he struck her face, "causing a busted lip.”

In 2008, YouTuber DJ Vlad filed a $4 million lawsuit against Rick Ross, alleging assault and battery.
Vlad’s lawyer alleged that Rick Ross “orchestrated a brutal attack” that was later carried out “at his direction by his accomplices, in retribution for media coverage of Ross' prior life as a correctional officer."The rapper and one of his bodyguards had previously faced kidnapping and assault charges after a groundskeeper alleged that he had been trapped in a guesthouse and struck with a gun.
The groundskeeper had reportedly angered Ross because he "had people over for his birthday the night before," according to a report from TMZ.
Ross entered a no-contest plea to the felony charge of aggravated assault. The remaining charges were dismissed, and the conviction was ultimately wiped from his record.
