Milly Alcock and her boyfriend, Jo Powell, share a love for food and travel.

A few years after the Australian actress moved to London for House of the Dragon, she began sharing glimpses into her relationship with Powell, a local chef, in June 2025.

Though Powell, who runs a food concept out of an East London bar, is not in the entertainment industry, the two have seemingly bonded throughout meals and trips.

While Alcock keeps the personal details about her love life under wraps and hasn’t spoken publicly about the relationship, she told Variety in 2026 that she and Powell live together in London. They also often share snaps of each other on social media.

In February 2026, Powell posted a photo dump on Instagram from their trip to Milan — featuring pictures of the two out to dinner, drinking wine and attending the Milan Olympics — with the caption “Cheers to me for getting u x.”

They launched their relationship on social media in June 2025

Alcock and Powell went public with their relationship in June 2025 via an Instagram post.

The now-deleted post included a photo of Powell in an “I Love My Girlfriend” T-shirt, according to an interview withVanity Fair.

Alcock told the outlet that her Instagram, which has over 2 million followers, is uncurated and casual. “I don’t really think about it," she said. "I’m not trying to brand myself.”

In the year since, the pair have shared more photos of each other online, including of them hanging out with friends, exploring different cities and spending time with Guinness, their shared Persian cat.

He’s a chef based in London

Powell is a London-based chef who runs a food concept called Schoolnights.

He previously worked as a chef at 392 Kingsland Road bar and restaurant in the Dalston area of East London. After Powell left the establishment in August 2024, he returned in October 2025, with the launch of his food collective Schoolnights, which serves a rotating menu served alongside drinks and live music.

On Instagram, Powell often shares slideshows of photos of his cooking, accompanied by pictures of himself and Milly together, frequently out to dinner.

In one post from October 2025, he posted photos of his dishes alongside a photo of the two hugging with the caption, “Me, milly and some cooks by moi.”

Milly does the same — sharing snaps of food, both made by Powell and out at different restaurants. She also promoted Powell’s Schoolnights on Instagram when it first launched.

He supports her career, attending red carpets and events with her

Since they first went public with their relationship, Powell has supported Alcock’s career, attending events and red carpets with her.

In June 2025, the couple went to the Glastonbury Festival with British brand Barbour. They were photographed together at the brand’s pre-festival lunch.

Two months later, they attended a Miu Miu event at the Venice Film Festival, and Powell shared photos from the trip on Instagram.

The actress and chef then attended their biggest event together, the BAFTAs, in February 2026.

He and Alcock enjoy traveling together

Alcock and Powell spend a lot of time traveling, both for work and fun.

In addition to attending the Venice Film Festival together in August 2025, Powell visited Alcock in Japan while she spent six weeks filming an untitled Takashi Miike’s horror movie, which also stars Charli XCX, according to Variety.

In April 2026, Alcock shared photos on Instagram of them together in Kyoto, admiring the cherry blossoms and hiking.

Both Alcock and Powell have posted Instagram galleries of their recent trips — from Milan to Tuscany and other areas of Italy and Lisbon, Portugal.

Alcock captioned one post, “Practicing the art of hanging out. Ft @_jopowell.”
